Dive Site Description of Gangehi Kandu

Gangehi Kandu is a fantastic channel dive site which is around 2 kilometres long and 200 meters wide.

Currents may be strong at times and drift dives are usually made around 2.5 kilometres away which bring divers into the channel. Diving is usually made to a maximum depth of 30 meters. There are various caves and overhangs which can be seen around 20-30 meters deep. There is a particularly large overhang at 20 meters deep which is around 80 meters long. Outcrops can be seen away from the reef which are covered in soft and hard colourful corals.

Expect to see some large sea life at Gangehi Kandu such as leopard sharks, mantas, eagle rays, and tuna fish. On the sandy seabed expect to swim alongside zebra sharks and stingrays and white tip reef sharks.
